Special Education

SPEcial education

Supporting Participation in Academics and Recreation for Kids!

S.P.A.R.K. is an after-school program available to middle school students in Haysville USD 261. We are funded by a 21st CCLC grant partnership. 

We offer our students:

  • STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math)
  • homework and tutoring assistance
  • sports and recreation
  • arts and crafts
  • performing arts
  • service learning and leadership opportunities
  • field trips (during the summer)
  • social events
  • guest speakers
  • family engagement
  • snack each day

 

S.P.A.R.K. meets during the school year with an after-school program. S.P.A.R.K. also offers a Summer Program for middle school students.

 

The S.P.A.R.K. program's Homework Site Coordinator will monitor grades and missing assignments and coordinate with school day teachers to assist your student in achieving their academic goals. Whether your child is falling behind or trying to get ahead, S.P.A.R.K. offers the nourishment they need to achieve their goals. 

 

S.P.A.R.K. Summer 2026 Enrollment Form

S.P.A.R.K. AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM

The S.P.A.R.K. After School Program is available for BOTH HMS and HWMS students.

The cost of the program is $150, and this covers the entire year. 

 

Days: Monday-Friday

(on days school is in session)

Hours: 3:00 pm-6:00 pm

Location: Haysville High School/Tri City

 

Transportation will be provided from HMS and HWMS to our site location at

Haysville High School/Tri City

1975 W. Grand Ave.

 

Any bus-eligible student from HWMS or HMS may ride the bus home after programming or be picked up by parents or guardians.

 

Please indicate transportation preference on the enrollment form at the time of enrollment.
