Board of Education

The Haysville USD 261 Board of Education typically meets on the second Monday of each month to discuss and make decisions that impact our students, staff, schools, and community. Meetings are open to the public, and we encourage community members to attend or watch to stay informed about district initiatives and Board actions.

Any changes to the meeting schedule will be announced in advance and posted on the district website.

Meeting Agendas

Board meeting agendas are posted on the district website by the Thursday before each regularly scheduled meeting. Agendas provide an overview of discussion items and action items, giving the public an opportunity to stay informed about upcoming Board business.

Public Comment

Community input is an important part of the Board's decision-making process. Individuals wishing to address the Board during a regularly scheduled meeting must:

• Contact the Board Clerk at 316-554-2200 no later than the Tuesday preceding the Monday Board meeting to request to speak.

• Approved speakers will be scheduled on the agenda and allotted up to five (5) minutes to address the Board.

The Board understands that issues may arise after the registration deadline. At its discretion, the Board may allow unscheduled speakers to address the Board for up to two (2) minutes. If multiple individuals wish to speak on the same topic, the Board may request that a spokesperson represent the group to ensure meetings remain efficient and all agenda items can be addressed.
