The Hearing Impaired Program is designed to meet the educational and communication needs of deaf or severely profoundly hard of hearing students.
Intensive language instruction and speech therapy in the resource room support the curriculum in the regular classroom. Further support is provided by Signing Exact English (SEE) interpreters throughout the day. Comprehensive hearing evaluations, hearing aids, and FM systems, as well as, repair and maintenance of equipment are provided by the Sedgwick County Special Education Cooperative in Goddard or the students’ personal audiologist.
