Late night conferences will be held on Monday, February 13, from 4:00 - 8:00 PM, and Wednesday, February 15, from 4:00 - 8:00 PM. Conferences will be held on Thursday, February 16, from 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM.
School will not be in session for the students on Thursday or Friday that week.
Our fundraiser will begin on Monday, February 6 and run through Friday February 24. The fundraiser goes to the research of lymphoma and leukemia. Each classroom has a pennies collection box and the students bring pennies and change.
Grandparents of first through fifth grade students and all-day kindergarten are invited to eat lunch with their grandchildren.
It's not too early to think about our preschool classes that will begin August 2012. USD 261 provides a monthly Count Your Kid In screening for children at least 3 years of age. If your child is 3 or 4 years old and you would like to have his/her motor, language and cognitive skills screened, please call the Early Childhood Office at 554-2233 to make an appointment. Your child must participate in a CYKI screening to be added to the Pre-K waiting list for the fall classes. The next screening day is February 1.
It is the temperature it "feels like" outside and is based on the rate of heat
loss from exposed skin caused by the effects of wind and cold. As the wind
increases, the body is cooled at a faster rate causing the skin temperature to
drop. Wind Chill does not impact inanimate objects like car radiators and
exposed water pipes, because these objects cannot cool below the actual air
