What's happening in the Ruth Clark Elementary Library?
The Library had two large stuffed animals, a green and blue dragon and a rainbow colored sea turtle, donated for the students to enjoy. The students participated in Kansas State Library Program for Pre-Kindergarten Students Reading. The Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA), in partnership with Scholastic’s FACE program allowed us to have the resources to have a lesson with the book “Is Everybody Ready for Some Fun? “by Jan Thomas. Each student was given a book to take home and keep. Now through April, will will have local figures coming into our library and reading to the students. The library would like to thank the students and parents for taking good care of our books and supporting the library. We are proud to let everyone know that we have added about 200 books so far this year to our collection. Half of these books were purchased with the October book fair money. For every 4 books that was purchased, the library was able to buy a book for the library.
