Welcome! New Principal, Carla Wulf!

Carla WulfCarla Wulf is the new principal at Ruth Clark Elementary School replacing Dr. Missy Hollenbeck. She has been an educator for 21 years, starting her career in the Haysville Schools. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Education in 1990 and began substituting in the Haysville School District. In 1991, she was hired as a fifth grade teacher at Nelson Elementary and taught there until 2000 when Ruth Clark Elementary was opened. Wulf was a fifth grade teacher her first year at Ruth Clark before teaching third grade for the last ten years.
Wulf earned a Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction in 1999 and a Master of Education degree in Building Administration/Leadership in 2004 from Wichita State University. In 2007, she was named the District's Elementary School Teacher nominee for the Kansas Teacher of the Year program and was a semi-finalist in Region 4.
"I have grown both personally and professionally during my years in Haysville," Wulf noted. "Over the years I have proudly attended numerous graduations, weddings and baby showers of former students. I have watched former students become teachers, doctors, nurses, and officers of the law."
Wulf states that education faces many challenges and requires a commitment from all its team members - students, parents, staff, and the community as a whole. "I am truly honored and blessed to have the opportunity to serve as an administrator on one of the most important teams ever. I serve on the team of "our future" presidents, doctors, engineers, moms, dads, mechanics, you name the profession, each students' future is just an education away!"
