District Wellness Plan/Grant
The Haysville School District adopted a wellness plan to improve the health and well-being of our students. A special thank you goes out to all the parents and to our P.T.A. for supporting this effort to make parties and celebrations for students to include more healthy choices. The fall parties were great with many creative ideas for following wellness guidelines and suggestions. While parties are a time to celebrate, providing health items can still be fun. In addition to the above, Nelson school has been awarded a state "Wellness Grant." This will start with a "pilot" program at grade 1. In order that our first grade parents can better understand the program, we will have an informative parent night on Wednesday, November 15, at 6:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. Please plan to attend this important meeting.
