Standard of Excellence Achieved

Congratulations to Nelson School on the great performance on the Kansas Assessments. Last March, Nelson 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students participated in state testing in both Reading and Math. The Nelson students made the Building Standard of Excellence in both Reading and Math. Also, grades 3 & 5 made the Standard of Excellence in Reading and Math. Way to go Nelson!!! State Assessments will take place again in March 2012 and we are busy preparing students for these important tests.

A Big Thank You

We would like to thank all of those who were able to donate to the Nelson Food Drive right before break! Thanks to your efforts, Nelson School brought in 1,744 cans for needy families around the area. Also, congratulations go out to Mr. Craig's Fifth Grade Class and Ms. Briley's Kindergarten Class which tied for bringing in the most items. They will be treated soon to a pizza lunch away from the building. Way to go!!!
