"Kids Caring For Christ"

Who Are We?

"Kids Caring For Christ" is a community service club inspired by Matthew 25:40 which says, "Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of the least brothers of mine, you did for me." The mission of the club is for the kids to get out into our community and help others.

When Do We Meet?

The club meets every Wednesday morning from 7:00 AM - 7:30 AM in Mrs. Gamble's room (E-7).

Who Can Come?

All students are encouraged to come when they can for fellowship, community service, and free breakfast (please bring your own drink).

Our Projects:

During the Spring semester, "Kids Caring For Christ" reached out to help the people of Haiti recover from their devastating January earthquake. HWMS students donated money to grade-level containers that were set out at lunchtime during the month of February. Every penny donated helped! The 8th graders donated $170.25, the 7th graders donated $84.38, and the 6th graders do-nated $51.15, with the grand total adding up to $305.78. Good job, Gorillas! The winning grade won an assembly to see their peers pie their favorite teachers with a whipped cream pie!

The group is continuing to collect plastic bottles and aluminum cans in the commons during lunch in an effort to help HWMS ―be "green".

Please get involved and help your child learn to be an active and caring member of our community!
