Starting in January, the class enrollment process for the 2019-2020 school year will begin. The HMS counselors will be visiting with 5th graders the first week of February at Ruth Clark, Freeman, Nelson, and Rex Elementary schools. They will be visiting with the 6th and 7th grade classes towards the end of February. They will cover information about overall requirements, available electives, and core class information.
CHS Freshman counselor, Mrs. Parks, will visit with the 8th graders the third week of January regarding their class enrollment for next year at Campus High School. Each student will receive a packet with an enrollment booklet detailing the Kansas Curriculum requirements. Please review this information thoroughly with your child to prepare them not only for the mandates set forward by the state for achieving a high school diploma, but to also help them establish their plan of study for college entrance requirements.
CHS will be hosting a Freshman parent informational meeting on Monday, January 28th at 6:30pm in the auditorium regarding freshman enrollment, followed by an Enrollment Preview in the commons from 7:30—8:30pm. CHS teachers will be contacting HMS 8th graders to schedule an appointment during conference week to complete their Freshman class enrollment for the 2019-2020 school year.

Influenza (Flu)

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment has notified the school district that any students or staff members diagnosed with influenza will need to be isolated for 7 days from the time of the onset of symptoms. If your child is diagnosed with the flu, or you are a staff member diagnosed with the flu, please check in with your school nurse to determine when it is appropriate to return to school.

Kansas regulations now require that we provide all parents with notice of policies regarding Emergency Safety Interventions ("ESI"). The State of Kansas policy is available on our website and in our student handbooks. In addition, we will provide a copy of the policy at any time upon request.

Come out to the Haysville Sonic on the last Tuesday of the month between the hours of 5-8 pm. A portion of the proceeds from those sales during those hours will go to HMS. The proceeds help fund our "Go Do It" activities and purchase gift cards that students can buy with their Hawk Bucks.

If you plan to participate in Fall athletics, you will need a current physical (dated after May 1) before participating in practice. There is a $20 fee per sport.
