Making School a Priority
With spring right around the corner, it can be hard to keep children focused on learning. What can you do to make school a top priority for your kids? Make attendance job #1. Let your youngsters know that unless they're sick, they must go to school. Try to schedule appointments after school hours. Show you care. Talk about their school activities and projects. Attend as many school events as you can. Keep it upbeat. Try to set appositive example for your children, even when your own day has been difficult. If you show a positive attitude about your work, your youngsters may feel better about their own.

District Wellness Plan
The Haysville School District recently adopted a wellness plan to improve the health and well-being of our students. Parents are asked to help by following guidelines for providing healthy items in lunches from home as well as snacks for parties and special occasions. When providing beverages, please provide something other than high calorie drinks or pop.
Some great ideas for snacks and special occasions would be: Cereal bars, trail mix, meat and cheese with crackers, beef jerky, animal crackers, yogurt cups, fresh fruit with dips, or veggies and dips. Students will also be participating in a walking program during recess time. Thank you for your help in keeping our kids healthy! Full Copy
