CHS offers many venues for parents and patrons to check out what is happening at school. Along with this website, a monthly newsletter and school calendar is available on the web. We invite and welcome you to our events.
This time of year always brings mixed emotions in a school. There is much excitement over the end of the year, yet there is also a sadness as some things come to an end.
CHS will say "goodbye" to some long-time teachers, as they retire at the end of this year. Bob Cairns, 44 years at CHS; Robert Nordyke, 38 years at CHS; Debbie Wurfel, 30 years as a SPED teacher; Joe Myers, 33 years in education; Tom Gleason, 44 years in education; and Dallas Love, Army veteran and 12 years at CHS.
Thirty-three students are the first to complete the International Bacallareate Program at Campus High School. "Essentially what they're getting is a college-level workload in a high school support system," said assistant principal, Joe Sailors. Sailors coordinates the program. Congratulations to CHS Baseball Team for winning the regional crown qualifying them for the State Tournament. The CHS Varsity Baseball team has qualified for state for the third time in the last five seasons!
Girls Swimming had a great showing at State with 3 relay teams finishing with these results:
200m relay improved their time by 5 seconds placing 15th.
200 free relay improved their time by 5 seconds, breaking the school's 1995 record.
400 free relay team improved their time by 23 seconds, improving their record time by 23 seconds and breaking the school's 1981 record time by 7 seconds.
Congratulations to team members: Kylie Kuttler, Kaitlyn Cooper, Callie Simpson, Olivia Sailors, Kirsten Nicholas, Aubrey Kennedy, and Victoria Starke.
Colts Track and Field qualified 12 individual entries and three relay teams, with two regional champions, into the State championship meet.
CHS competed at the state level this year in Golf, Bowling, Wrestling, Track and Field, Boys & Girls Swimming and Baseball. Way to go, Colts!
