Looking for Summer Activities? Why Not Basketball Camp?

Basketball Boot Camp This camp will help you succeed in basketball through the development of a confident mind set, skill mastery, and self-discipline; and has a focused, intense curriculum aimed at helping participants maximize their athletic potential. Players will receive individual instruction from CHS coaches to become better both offensively and defensively. Both boys and girls are welcome. Registration Form

June 1 - July 1, 2010 (Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday) (Total of 15 90-minute sessions) For ages Kindergarten - 12th Grade 2:00 - 3:30 PM for Grades K-8 3:30 PM - 5:00 PM for Grades 9 - 12 Campus High School Gym $100 (Each camper will receive a camp t-shirt and basketball!)

 

What do you want to be when you grow up?

Campus High School will offer the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) March 12, 8 AM at CHS. The ASVAB is free to any Junior or Senior. The test is used to determine career aptitude and is the primary screening tool for entrance into the United States Military. Interested students may sign up with Mr. Hook in the Campus Counseling Center at 554-2240 or email: thook@usd261.com. Students taking the ASVAB will have no military obligation.

 

USD 261 Help A Friend Line

Have a friend or classmate that is making bad choices in life or abusing drugs or alcohol? Please call or text the Haysville School District Help A Friend Line at 316-207-0650 with the student's name, school , and brief description of the problem. We want your friend or classmate's name, but we don't want your name. The Help a Friend Line is a great way to help another student to get on the right path. Your message will be forwarded to the counselors at the appropriate school.

 

The Help A Friend Line is available during business hours (8 AM to 4:30 PM) Monday through Friday when the District Schools are in session. In Emergency situations, please call 911.

Boys and Girls Club After-School Program

The Haysville extension of Boys and Girls Club offers an after-school program for the 2010-2011 school year. Students in grades 6-8 are provided recreational activities, tutoring, snacks, and special events. The program is from 2:45 - 5:45 PM, on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. The cost is $30 for the entire year, but register early, space is limited to the first 100 participants. For more information contact Rob Arneson at the Haysville Activity Center, 316-529-5922.

Do you want to play sports?

Haysville USD 261 offers athletics for students 7th grade and above. Students must meet academic eligibility requirements and pass a yearly medical physical documented on the Kansas State High School Athletics Association (KSHSAA) Physical Form in order to participate. Fall Sports Information has been included in the enrollment packets or you may contact your school for more information.

Stressed Out About Homework?

 

Homework Kansas

Homework Kansas is an after school tutoring service that connects Kansas students one-on-one with live tutors. It is targeted at students in Kindergarten through 12th grades, college introductory students, adult GED students, and other adult learners.

 

Students can connect to tutors from 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM, seven days a week. Homework Kansas is also available in Spanish, Sunday through Thursday, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Read more.....
