Star Polisher Award

The Star Polisher Award provides an opportunity for staff, parents, students and school patrons to recognize a classified and certified staff member who goes above and beyond the normal job responsibilities and expectations. Documents are provided in Adobe Acrobat Format.

Guidelines for Submitting Nominations: Nominations are now being accepted for Fall 2011 USD 261's Star Polisher Award. The deadline to submit your nomination is December 20, 2011 at 4 PM. The award ceremony will be held at the Board of Education meeting January 23, 2012.
Nominations by parents, students and school patrons may be sent electronically to Dr. Michael Clagg, Assistant Superintendent for Personnel, at mclagg@usd261.com using the guidelines below. Once you have sent the form electronically, please send a printed copy to Dr. Michael Clagg, 1745 W. Grand, Haysville, KS 67060.
USD 261 employees must first submit completed nomination forms to their principal or supervisor for approval..
Nomination forms submitted by district employees: The nomination form is a PDF (click on link above) to be completed online, saved to your desktop and printed for your principal or supervisor to sign. To save the PDF nomination form, just click on the "disk" icon on the Acrobat Reader toolbar or go to "save as" under "File" on your toolbar.
After your principal or supervisor has approved and signed the nomination form, then attach the PDF to an email message and send it to mclagg@usd261.com. Please send the printed and signed nomination form to Dr. Michael Clagg at the Administration Building.

Star Polishers Fall 2011
The Star Polisher Award program is a district-wide recognition effort to celebrate and honor outstanding service by volunteers, employees and school partners to the students of the Haysville School District.
Award winners for Fall 2011 are Wanda Ingram of Prairie Elementary School and Joe Schermuly of Maintenance.
