Expectations:

Students in 1st grade will be taught Home Row 2nd semester.

Students in 2nd through 5th grade will be graded on  Keyboarding skills, posture and their use of the Computer all year long.

Students in 4 & 5 grades will start Kids Domain Computer Connection—Computers Inside & Out once Placement in CCC in both Math and Reading have been met.

Grades 3, 4, & 5 will also begin working in Mavis Beacon to increase their keyboarding skills.  We will also begin to review how to save and open a file from the teacher's folder.

Grades 4 & 5 will be working on the Internet doing a program called Computer Connections: Inside and Out.  Learning all about computers not just the parts, but what they do and how they work.

These students will have worksheets and tests starting this 6 weeks.

Grades 2 & 3 will be tested on the name of the parts of the computer as a review from last year.

Grade 3 will move on to keyboarding.

Grade 1 & 2 will start learning about Internet safety and then start exploring on the Internet.  We will start integrating our curriculum by finding cites that match what we are working on in class.

We will also begin Math Corner in Grades 1 & 2.
