This 6-week group is for students whose parents are divorced, separated, or incarcerated. It forcuses on helping students understand the changes that occur when parents divorce, allows them to connect with other students experiencing the same thing and teaches them how to talk with their parents about their feelings. This group is facilitated by a representative from the Kansas Children's Service League. Contact the CIS office at Prairie at 554-2350, if you want your child to participate in this group.
The upper grade students at Prairie are expected to be leaders and role models for our younger students. Therefore we are implementing the "Strike System" to discipline for inappropriate behavior. This is how it works....
Don’t forget, each Friday morning at 8:25 AM, we end the week with an allschool recognition assembly. Students are recognized for variety of awards, several classroom awards are given and staff members are also recognized for several fun awards!
