Why Community Relations?
The Community Relations Office is responsible for Haysville USD 261 media relations, community outreach, photography services, and publications. Our primary focus is to develop communication activities that promote effective ongoing communication with internal and external stakeholders that builds knowledge of and active support for the education of our students.

Liz Hames
Liz has a BA degree in journalism from the University of Kentucky and a MS degree in communications from Murray State University. For the past 22 years, she has worked in student publications and public relations at higher education institutions. She started her career in print journalism and has held positions as a reporter, photographer, lifestyle editor, sports writer and managing editor.
Her hobbies include photography, genealogy, and collecting old cameras and John F. Kennedy memorabilia.
