Why Haysville?

A Growing District: Haysville USD 261 is located in a steadily growing region of sourth central Kansas. Located near Wichita, new and affordable housing is just one of the factors attracting new families to the area. Currently the district is comprised of one High School, two Middle Schools, six Elementary Schools, Haysville Alternative School, Tri-city Day School, and Learning By Design.

Salary and Benefits: Haysville USD continually ranks in the top 25% of teacher salaries in the state of Kansas. A base salary of $36,000 for first year teachers with a Bachelors Degree, a competitive fringe benefit package that includes health insurance, KPERS, and several investment options make USD 261 a great place for professional educators. In addition to all teachers receiving a lap top computer, a "fitness and wellness" benefit is also available to staff members to offset the costs of their YMCA membership.

Professional Learning Community: A viable, forward-focused District Strategic Plan, generous professional development opportunities and a commitment to teacher success are just some of the advantages found in the Haysville School District.
