Who can attend Haysville Pre-Kindergarten classes? Children who live in the Haysville school district and qualify in one of the following areas:

| * | One or both parents were under the age of 20 when the child was born. |
| * | Migrant Family |
| * | Limited Income |
| * | You receive assistance from SRS |
| * | One parent has not graduated from high school |
| * | A language other than English is spoken by the student |
| * | Child has delays in at least one area of development (such as motor, language, or academic concepts). This is determined during the Count Your Kid In screening. |
The Board of Education funds 30 additional slots for children who do not qualify in one of the above areas.
How do I enroll? All children must complete a Count Your Kid In screenting to participate, call
554-2233 to schedule today. All screenings are free to residents of USD 261.
What is the Cost? $200 a year for 5 days a week.
What are the teacher's qualifications? Classroom teachers have college degrees and are licensed by the State Department of Education. Para-educators assist teachers in each classroom giving the children who attend the center individualized support and instruction. The small student to teacher ratio in our early childhood program ensures success for every student.
What is taught in Pre-K? Curriculum in the Early Childhood Program is standards-based and aligns with the Haysville Kindergarten program, creating a smooth transition for our students into their elementary school.
