Outstanding Athletes
6A State Bowling Champions - Congratulations to the Girls Bowling team as they won the 6A State Bowling Tournament. They have been state champi-ons three of the last four years a truly outstanding accomplishment. Campus also had the individual state champion, as freshman, Piper Reams, won the individual title.
CHS Wrestling - Kale McCracken and Brycen Schroeder were state runners-up at 106 lbs. and 170 lbs. respectively. There was an unofficial Girls State Wrestling Tournament this year in McPherson. At that tournament, Olivia McNeal was a state champion and Jessi Bernal was a state runner-up.
Boys Swimming - Campus diver, Jake Burke, won his second league championship in as many years. We want to recognize our boys swim team as they raised several thousand dollars for the Make-a-Wish foundation two weekends ago.

GEM 5K 2018 - Saturday Morning, April 7
The GEM 5K was established in 2014 with the purpose to benefit someone in the Haysville community. G.E.M. stands for the Gary Engels Memorial. This year’s beneficiary is 64-year-old first grade Nelson Elementary teacher, Kim Hall.  In 2017, she was diagnosed with Liver cancer but still finds the strength to wake up every morning and teach her first graders. She has been a teacher in Haysville for 38 years and has an unprecedented passion for children and everything they offer.
The GEM 5K is open to both runners and walkers and is 5 kilometers (3.1 miles) in length. The race will not be officially timed.

Valley State Bank Branch at CHS
Campus High School's Business Department and Valley State Bank have formed a partnership that will increase student financial literacy and provide hands-on training in the new branch bank that opened in August in the CHS Commons. Students will be fully-trained bank interns.  The branch at CHS has a walk-up window, an ATM, a night deposit drop box and a reception area for more involved activities like starting a checking account.   New account holders will learn how to manage a checking account and staff will be at the branch to answer any questions.  The CHS branch is managed by Susan Holmes.

Emergency Safety Interventions
Kansas regulations require that we provide all parents with notice of policies regarding Emergency Safety Interventions ("ESI''). The State of Kansas policy is available on our website and in our student handbooks. In addition, we will provide a copy of the policy at any time upon request.
