What is S.P.A.R.K.?

Supporting Participation in Academics and Recreation for Kids!

S.P.A.R.K. is a before and afterschool program available to Middle School students in Haysville USD 261.

We offer our students:

  • snack each day
  • homework assistance
  • sports and recreation
  • arts and crafts
  • performing arts
  • service learning and leadership opportunities
  • field trips
  • social events
  • guest speakers
  • use of ipads, laptops, and computers
  • game room with ping pong, air hockey, pool, video games and Pac-Man Arcade machine

S.P.A.R.K. meets during the school year, August 29, 2016 - May 18, 2017, with the Before and After School Programs. S.P.A.R.K. also offers a 2017 summer program for middle school students.

The S.P.A.R.K. program's Homework Site Coordinator will monitor grades and missing assignments and coordinate with school day teachers to assist your student in achieving their academic goals.

What is TAPS Program?

TAPS (Teaching Assessment Preparation Skills) is for 3-5 grade students who may need extra help in specific skill areas. TAPS meets Monday - Thursday (no Fridays) from September through March, from 3:45 - 4:45 PM.. If you have any questions about TAPS, please visit with your childs classroom teacher. TAPS Program is available at Rex, Nelson, Oatville, and Ruth Clark.

Campus High School Tutoring Program

The CHS Tutoring Program is beginning its 25th year of service. The program is a free service available to all CHS students. tutoring sessions will be conducted each Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 3:15 to 4:00 PM in room C16. At each session there will be at least 3 Campus teachers (including Math, English and Science). Please note: There is no bus service for the tutoring program.
