Scholastic Book Fair
An amazing selection of books is headed our way! At the Book Fair you will find the latest and finest titles for kids, as well as books of interest to parents. Mark your calendar for conferences when the whole family can join in the fun. And, you can contribute books to your child's classroom library. Shopping times are:
Monday & Wednesday: 3:45 - 7:00 PM
Tuesday: 3:45 - 5:00 PM
Thursday: 8:00 - 12:00 PM

Are You Interested In PreSchool?
Just a reminder - It's not too early to think about our preschool classes that will begin August 2012! USD 261 provides a monthly Count Your Kid In screening for children at least 3 years of age. If your child is 3 or 4 years old and you would like to have his/her motor, language and cognitive skills screened, please call the Early Childhood office at 554-2233 to make an appointment. Your child must participate in CYKI screening to be added to the Pre-K waiting list for the fall classes.

Student of the Week: One student a week is nominated by their teacher based on our Rex P.R.I.D.E. principles. The students must do an excellent job of showing P.R.I.D.E. in all areas of our school including the bathroom, hallways, lunchroom, and playground. The Students of the Week's names are announced over the intercom on Friday morning and they receive a prize and certificate.
